My breakthrough idea

[1445]

It just hit me. I will build a web application, the first of its kind in Papua New Guinea and I will build it with God’s help. For it says in the Bible,

i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

philipians 4:13. And I will do it because I have the best team mate in the world, Jesus.

I will employ the Agile Development model for the development of this killer web application.

The Agile Development Model
The Agile Development Model

The overall process will be in four phases:

  1. Investigation
  2. Database Design
  3. Application & Services Design
  4. UI Design

Investigation

This is the preliminary phase. Here 5 subjects are chosen and then a basic profile is created for each of these subjects. Then from the common features they all posses, a DFD will be designed to capture the Business Logic. After this kicks off the real development.

Database Design

Here the database design should cater for processing huge amounts of requests per second. It should also be developer friendly, such that, the developer understands each tables and records the moment she/he looks at it.

Application and Services Design

This phase provides the connection between the database and the front end user interface of the application. It contains services, processes and scripts which will make everything possible.

UI Design

This is the front end design. A lot of work will be put in here because it will give the user a first impression on the application. It should be interactive, attractive and user-friendly. It should be designed in such a way that people who hate web applications or applications as a whole will make an exception.
